It is my utmost pleasure to introduce you to Shenzhen American International School. As the principal, I am truly excited about the opening of this school in this wonderful city of Shenzhen, China.

This school has been in design for several years. Its creation is a joint effort between a group of businessmen from Shenzhen and Lee Academy of Lee, Maine USA. Obviously there is a need for this type of school in Shenzhen.

Lee Academy has a long tradition, since 1845, of providing a quality American education. Throughout its history, graduates have gained admission to the finest US colleges and universities. We are proud to join this long and successful tradition. The joint venture between our school and Lee Academy in the United States allows us to offer an exceptional American education within the Chinese culture.

The academic core of our teachers will be mainly Americans from the United States although we encourage some national diversity. These teachers have been selected for their experience, excellence in former positions and their honest desire to make a difference in our school. On our website, you will see our new school concept design which will absolutely be world class.The campus in the Futian district is expected to open in 2010 and will offer us great potential for adding grades, expanding our offerings and truly becoming one of the best international schools in the world.
