Adam Hinkley
Mr. Hinkley graduated with honors and Magna cum Laude with a B.A. degree in Spanish and History from the University of Oregon. He also received his Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University. Mr. Hinkley was born in Montana, but grew up in Oregon and is currently licensed to teach ESOI, Spanish, Language Arts, and Social Studies in the state of Oregon.
Mr. Hinkley has worked with students ranging from kindergarten to college in a variety of capacities, and has taught Spanish at the high school level. He has previously traveled, lived, and done volunteer work in a number of countries in South America, and he is looking forward to new experiences in Shenzhen.
In his limited free time, Mr. Hinkley enjoys playing, watching, and coaching sports. He also enjoys learning languages, playing guitar, writing, and traveling. |

Andrew Eoff
Mr. Eoff graduated Cum Laude from University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and minored in Religious Studies. He then went on to receive his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Eoff is licensed to teach Middle School and High School Social Studies and Math in the state of Oregon, which is where he was born and raised.
Mr. Eoff spends much of his free time playing or coaching sports. His favorite sports are basketball and volleyball, but he has spent the last two years volunteering as a Track and American Football coach. He also enjoys coaching and playing basketball with his nephews. |

April Noel
Ms. April Noel graduated magna cum laude from University of Maine at Farmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, with a concentration in Mathematics. She is a native of Maine, Having grown up in the coastal town of Windham.
Ms. Noel’s teaching license is from Maine, and she has been teaching sixth grade at SAIS since 2010.
Ms. Noel loves being in Shenzhen because it is a great opportunity to learn about the Chinese culture and because the students are so enthusiastic about learning. While in China, she plans to continue to travel and explore Asia. When in the United States, Ms. Noel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and she is often found on the beaches or in the mountains of the Northeast with her loved ones. |

Bernard Oakley
Mr. Oakley graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina with a double major in English Literature and Philosophy. He also has a Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He is a highly qualified teacher with a license to teach secondary level English in the State of Alaska. Mr. Oakley is from a small town in the state of North Carolina.
He has taught students of many age groups. At the University of Alaska he taught freshman level Writing and Literature classes. He also taught in public schools in rural Alaska for three years. In that time he was mainly responsible for High School and Middle School English classes though one year he did teach in an elementary classroom. In China, Mr. Oakley taught English in Wuhan to college age students. Most recently, Mr. Oakley was working in Kuwait at a British International School. He was the Head of the school’s ESL department and responsible for supervising the teachers from years 1 to 6. Mr. Oakley prefers working with older students but he values his experiences working with younger children also.
In his spare time, Mr. Oakley enjoys lifting weights, reading, and playing the guitar. He is a soft spoken individual who feels a great responsibility to provide a positive role model for his students. |
