Shenzhen American International School

Principal's Welcoming Speech!

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Shenzhen American International School(SAIS).

At SAIS we provide students with the opportunity to learn in a supportive, caring environment, while challenged to excel. We focus on the development of the whole child, addressing their academic, emotional, physical and social needs.

Our curriculum has been carefully developed, using practices, standards, and common core educational goals found in all educational systems in the United States. These goals form the basis of our instructional program and emphasize success for all students.

Our small class size reinforces our commitment to our student's achievement. Many of our students are planning to attend universities and colleges in the United States and we will make certain that they have the necessary skills to be competitive when applying. We offer assistance, selecting and applying for U.S. universities and colleges.

SAIS was founded in 2009 and has grown significantly from that time. Our enrollment increased in two years from three students to over 200. Our reputation is well established in our community.

When you enter SAIS, you will feel as though you have stepped into an American school.

Our classrooms, teachers, activities, instruction, textbooks and materials are all American. Our teachers, in kindergarten through 9th grade, have all attended U.S. universities and colleges and possess licenses to teach in the United States. Our student records are readily accepted by schools in the U.S., as they are based on the same requirements and educational practices.

Our students come to us from every continent, except Antarctica. We are so pleased to offer the opportunity to our students to gain a true global perspective by attending school with children from around the world.

We greatly appreciate your interest in our school and would be very happy to assist you with any additional information that you might require. Please feel free to contact us to arrange a visitation to our campuses.

Sincerely,

Valerie A. Luce  M.Ed.
