Promotion / Social Activities
On Sunday, July 25; K-Plaza located in Nanshan held their 5th Anniversary celebration. Many organizations came and showed their love at the event; SAIS was one of them.
There were many performances, such as singing, dancing, and a fashion show. Our performance was a reading session performed by our two new American teachers Miss. Mackenzie Grobmyer and Mr. Craig Hanson, and translated by Miss. Lin Li, the Administrative Assistance.
The book we read to the audience was called “The Mixed-Up Chameleon”; it was about this colorful chameleon’s fantasy of becoming other beautiful animals, but in the end, the chameleon wanted nothing else but to just be a chameleon.
During the reading, all of the children surrounded the stage, and were so amazed by the story. Their eyes were staring at the book and looking at all the pictures. Some kids even came close to the stage so they could have a good view of the book. The parents also took interest in the performance and were happy that their children really liked it.
After the performance, some parents talked with Miss. Grobmyer and Mr. Hanson about how much their kids loved the performance and how interesting they thought the book was. Miss. Grobmyer and Mr. Hanson were happy that the children enjoyed the book they chose. Overall, the performance was a success!
